I'm hoping that within the next couple of weeks I'll be back up and running and able to test out a few new things. There have been a lot of changes around here in the last year, and as it turns out it looks like I won't have my truck anymore, but I will have a car that is more reliable, but that thing isn't about to get me up into the mountains. It's looking more and more like we're going to end up in the same place no matter who is elected to the Presidency. I'm wondering this because of all of the fighting in the Senate and the Congress. I also see what's going on in the country as a whole, and this is a country divided. You have the Tea Party out rallying for smaller, more responsible government, and the Occupy crowd out rallying for bigger, more irresponsible government, along with an amazing amount of class warfare. Unfortunately for the people in this country that stand for law and order, and want the Republic to succeed, the media is on the side of the Occupiers.&amp;nbsp; &lt;br /&gt;I personally am not part of the 1%, in fact I currently live below the poverty line. I do however see a way that I can be successful, it is possible, as long as the left doesn't get it's way. If the left is allowed to succeed not only is the country doomed, but it will be impossible become successful in your own life. There are many of these people that think the bank should "forgive" the part of their mortgage that makes them underwater. I think that the banks should have foreseen this and that maybe in the future they will take it into consideration that the houses that they're lending people money for may end up being worth less then what the person agreed to pay for the house. The banks should enter contracts that if you buy a house for $100,000 and it's now worth $50,000 that the bank should "forgive" the $50,000 that the house lost in value. They should also have in the contracts that if you buy a house for $100,000 and sell it for $150,000 the bank gets to keep the $50,000 extra that you sold it for. I don't think that any of them realize that if you were to take all the money away from the rich then the government is going to need to look elsewhere for what they consider to be "their fair share"(because there won't be anymore rich folks to tax), so the next "logical" solution to the commie crowd is to tax corporations. You may think that that would work, and to some degree it would. If you were to tell GE that they needed to pay $20 billion in US taxes to the federal government next year, that would be great! The government would get their $20 billion of extra cash, but there is one small problem, your light bulbs would get awful expensive.&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Why is it that when someone buys a house, then stops paying for it, should they be allowed to keep the house? What makes people think that if they get a huge loan in order to get an education that they shouldn't be required to pay it back? These people feel like they should get everything that they want just because all of these things are "human rights", I'm here to call BS on that. I remember Slick Willy getting up there and saying how everyone needs to be able to own a house, wether they can pay for it or not. That's what started this whole mess in the first place, (yes I know that the polices started back under Jimmy Carter).&lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Although the right to protest things that you don't like is a very American thing, these people are totally Un-American. That was a real kick in the crotch and a real de-motivator, kind of made it so that I didn't really feel like working on the black rifle project as much anymore. I have done a few small things, and I did take pictures of the mods that I did, but that leads me to the next part, my computer crashed! Although I am on it right now, it no longer has Windows on it, and it also won't let me reinstall it saying that the hard drive isn't "active" anymore, so I'm stuck with this ASUS Splashtop browser, and a simple SD card if I need to save anything. I'll try to get back to doing this project, and working more on my second rifle. I was only able to put about 100 rounds through it but it functioned flawlessly. There wasn't a single hiccup, it shot/extracted/ejected every round we put through it, witch is more than I can say for the other guns we took with us (especially my black rifle). Ammo used was Blazer brass and some reloads that I've had for over 10 years.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;center&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;iframe allowfullscreen="" frameborder="0" height="293" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/bpeF46fytac" width="480"&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;&lt;/center&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The only things that I don't like about the Thunder is that it seems to have a little more bite to it than a lot of other guns I've shot. I can't say that I know why it bites your hand the way it does but by watching the videos you can see that it does. So far I'm impressed with this weapon, I would have no problem carrying it for self defense once I've been able to put more rounds downrange with it. Unfortunately, spare magazines for this weapon are expensive and I don't have any spares right now. I always want to have spare magazines for my guns, in fact if I'm carrying a short capacity auto loader like this, I would prefer to have a second. With the folding Magpul rear sight installed it actually makes it a little awkward to charge the rifle with the stock latch installed. With the addition on the much larger latch installed it makes it a lot easier to charge. If I were to go out today to get another one, and I probably will get another one soon because the one that I got is cheaply made. It actually looks and feels like it's die cast pot metal, that was painted black. You would be much better off getting one that is made from machined aluminum, then hard coat anodized. The part that I think is more annoying is that now I need to get the parts to attempt ti fix it. It should be easy enough at least as all I will (hopefully/probably) need is an #60 o-ring, or a D-Fender "D" ring to try to tighten up the extractor. The same media that not all that long ago wrote and aired stories that were there to make you believe that the entire United States military were nothing more than criminals that were just out to terrorize innocent Muslims now have changed their tune. They now think that the SEALS are just the best thing ever, and that they are the bravest and best people on the planet. If George W Bush was still in office the story would be completely different and we all know it. The SEALs would be called a "hit squad" who did exactly that, they carried out a "hit". &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; Of corse if you want to break it down, you could say that it was a hit, there was apparently only one shot fired at the SEALs, and Bin Laden himself was (apparently) unarmed when the bullets turned his hear and his brains into nothing much more than red goo. Was it wrong? That's an entirely different question, one that no one person's opinion matters about either. Usama Bin Laden was personally responsible for killing thousands of people around the world, and if he had been taken alive he would never even set foot on American soil. He would've spent the rest of his life in a small cell on a tropical island, just like the rest of his buddies. &lt;br /&gt;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The main thing that I personally can't stand is the way they treated the body. They should have&amp;nbsp; made damn good and sure that he didn't make it to paradise. It's been going on for years and you can tell that there are people that fully belive that by putting a ton of shit on their weapon that they'll be the coolest person at the gun range. Maybe if you have all the most expensive shit, most of which will never be used for anything, (much less that they will even learn how to use it effectively) the guy next to you will think that you are cool.&lt;br /&gt;That being said, one thing that I did feel like putting on my M4 was a new handguard that I can attach a gangster grip to. The one that I picked up is just a cheap one like is made by UTG or AIM sports. It's not too heavy, although I forgot to weigh it before I installed it, and the edges aren't too sharp that they hurt your hand when you grip it. I've never needed one before now, and I honestly don't think I'll need one in the future. There are four screws that hold it together and I had them all snugged down before I realized that I had forgotten locktite, I had to take them back out to put some blue locktite on the screws. They also have it made of the same plastic as the rest of their products. Choice number 3 is my personal choice for home defense, it's a pre-fragmented round. The core is made of fragmented copper, when it hits the target, even moving at 3000+ fps it's not going to penetrate very deep, in fact on Nosler's website the ballistic tip lead free only penetrates about 6" to 8". When I first got it I wasn't sure that I was going to like  it because the burner is small so it centers the flame right in the  middle of the pot or pan that you're cooking in. After using it a few  times I realized that this is more of an asset than a problem, it makes  it so that you can use a better variety of pots, pans, mugs, or whatever  else that you're using to cook in. You're not going to do much  simmering with this stove, but it's not ment for that, it's more made to  boil water for dehydrated or freeze dried foods. I currently have only one handgun, a Taurus PT92 AF, it's almost identical to the Beretta 92 (M9), with the exception that the Taurus has a frame mounted safety/decocker. It is a huge hunk of metal, and is very tough to conceal, witch I'm not all that worried about since I let my Florida concealed weapon license lapse years ago, I have now applied for one here in Utah and am just waiting for it to come in the mail.&lt;br /&gt;It doesn't matter what handgun you decide to go with, you need to practice, practice, practice. If you don't bother practicing, you are just as dangerous to the people around you as the criminal that you got the gun for protection from. You need to keep in mind that every time that you pull the trigger, a bullet comes out. You are responsible for any damage that bullet does, so it's a good idea to hit the target that you are justified in destroying. It's a Norinco MAK-90, a Chinese made semi-automatic version of the AK-47, the Chinese call their rifle the Type 56. There are quite a few misconceptions about the AK class of weapons, first being that you never have to clean them. This is wrong, although they don't need the meticulous cleaning regiment that the AR type rifles need, they do need to be kept clean, especially the gas system. I've had the gas piston lock in the gas tube to the point that it can't be moved by hand. I also recently had the recoil spring bind up in the bolt carrier locking the bolt to the rear, this was happening after every shot. This all came from a lack of cleaning, just saying "it's an AK, why bother" then I would clean my other guns. This was basically the norm, either use iron sights or have a scope for long range shooting. Back in 2002 when I was at the infantry training brigade they introduced me to using a CCO (close combat optic), then it was the Aimpoint CompM2, the Aimpoint is of the absolute best sights that you can get, but they cost about $400+. The other top end option is the EOTech line of holographic weapon sights. They are meant for both eye open shooting, this makes it so you can see your target the whole time and have much better target acquisition times. On my way home I pulled it out of it's bag and I can honestly say that I liked the way it felt in my hand. By the time that I got home I was really exited about installing it on my weapon so I jumped right at it and started in on the installation. I decided to use the "finger groove" front strap, and the "medium" back strap for it as I liked that combination the best.When I first went to put it on I noticed that it was an extremely tight fit, a very good thing, you don't want your pistol grip to be wobbly or anything. The problem came in when I actually went to screw it all on though, when I had either the medium or large backs on the grip it just didn't want to go together. I decided to go with a &lt;a href="http://www.bushmaster73.com/pics/brp/brp005.jpg"&gt;Magpul&lt;/a&gt; rear site, I like it because it folds down to a nice neat little package, and it's spring loaded to&lt;a href="http://www.bushmaster73.com/pics/brp/brp008.jpg"&gt; pop up&lt;/a&gt; into use. Unfortunately when I went in to get it, &lt;a href="http://www.impactguns.com/cgi-bin/affiliates/clickthru.cgi?id=Bushmaster"&gt;Impact Guns&lt;/a&gt; only had it in flat dark earth, this rifle is black so the FDE kind of stands in contrast to the rifle. It would have to be turned black to match the rifle itself. You can get a bare bones standard upper, or you can go all out and get everything match grade, or get get something in between. I personally looked at just about every web store that carries kits, and it came down between just a few different companies. I've used &lt;a href="http://model1sales.com/"&gt;Model 1 Sales&lt;/a&gt; before, and was thinking about using them again, they are a good price, and last time I bought something from them they were very professional about it. It was every bit as good of quality as you would hope for. Incidentally, it was an A2 upper that I ordered from them back about 12 or 13 years ago, so I would hope that they would've only gotten better, but as time goes on you never know. I decided to go with &lt;a href="http://www.del-ton.com/"&gt;Del-Ton&lt;/a&gt; for a&amp;nbsp;couple of&amp;nbsp;reasons, first being the price, their prices are right along the lines of being the best I could find, even being a little cheaper. I was comparing the different brands and I couldn't tell any real difference in most of them, from the cheaper brands like Del-Ton and Smith &amp;amp; Wesson, to the ultra expensive brands like Bushmaster. Of the three cheapest receivers that they had I liked the finish of the Del-Ton the most, it has nice anodizing job, and the logo and serial number are cut nicely, there was another that was the same price that had the brand and serial number that looked like they were done on an old dot matrix printer like the FN models, this just looks cheap to me, and although I'm not 100% about looks here, I don't like cheap either.
